What is Balayage?
Balayage is a French word that means 'to sweep.' This highlighting technique is usually done by freehanding highlights or lowlights into the hair. There are many ways to create a balayage look. I usually prefer to hand paint, no foils, on the hair thus creating a seamless, natural look.
What is the benefit of Balayage?
Balayage helps eliminate grow out lines that traditional highlights create in the hair. A balayage leaves a less uniform look of highlights in the hair which helps create a seamless lived-in effect.
With a softer grow out average maintenance is 8-10 weeks compared to the traditional 6-8 weeks for the foiled highlights.
What is a Toner Refresh?
A Toner Refresh is a great way to freshen up your balayage without lightening. Whether you have traditional highlights or a balayage around 5 or 6 weeks it is common for your color to feel dull, faded or brassy. Scheduling a Toner Refresh allows us to apply a fresh new toner(s) without any highlighting.
